Teams & Shared Purpose

Looping Shared Purpose

In the shared center of a relationship Venn diagram is all the stuff two or more folks accept--stuff that we would want or allow, and still be able to hang or work together. This would include shared norms, needs, maybe also perspectives, experiences or similar likes.

And what makes a "team," and not just a group in a relationship, is that in the center is our purpose..our shared reason for being or acting together.  This is the center post, representing the very least--and most important thing--that joins us.

For GoatRunners, our center post, our tangible two-marshmallow, purposeful want is some achievement at a tournament.  And, we have a larger context purpose, to learn teamwork, and get project-doing experience and skills.

To bond as a team, we all need a flag to run under that unites us.  This flag would fly high at the center of our shared space.  Our name, our first layer of identity as a group, needs to proudly be there, too, for all of us.
