By Audience

The pool's primary axis: who is the book for? Six audiences, thematic series within each. Trade is widest and deepest; Mentor is genuinely thin; Youth is the biggest book-count.

By Role

The same books, regrouped by the work they do — Foundation, Diagnostic, Typological, Designer, Practitioner, Narrative-Sourcebook. Color carries audience. Reveals: the Typological shelf as a coherent set; the Diagnostic shelf as thin; Foundation as audience-specific.

By Tier

Publication trajectory bands. Tier A is the active near-term operation. Tier B is the research lab made visible. Tier C is ideabank. Tier 4 is the academic deep-dive pair. Color carries audience.

Essay Companion — Substrate Sharing

Civic Substrate Series essays as test-flights for books. The substrate-surfacing method ties them together at different scales: essays do the surface, books hold the depth, the substrate is the same.

Claim 1, made visible: The essay-book pipeline is structural, not coincidental. Click an essay to see which books share its substrate; click a book to see which essays land it.

Cross-cuts & Chains

Structural relationships that don't fit single-axis sorts. Sequences, triads, pairs, prereq chains. The pairings are a content feature of the work — they show that the pool was architected, not assembled.
